How Kharkiv IT Cluster Supports Business: Education, Networking, and Community Development

IT Cluster IT Cluster

Modern businesses face many challenges, from managing teams to finding qualified professionals. These challenges become even more critical amid war, economic instability, and remote work. Kharkiv IT Cluster offers solutions through education, networking, and community development — these are our key areas that help IT companies adapt, grow, and strengthen their market positions.

Education: Professional Skills Development

Kharkiv IT Cluster actively supports the development of professional skills for various representatives of the IT business. In February, we organized events for PR and HR specialists, where participants gained practical knowledge and shared their experiences. This helps leaders and specialists remain resilient, manage company reputation, and build effective teams in times of change.

Reputation Management: Attracting Investors Through Effective PR Strategies

Reputation management is an essential part of attracting investments and strengthening trust in the brand. At Kharkiv IT Cluster events, Vyacheslav Pysanka, Head of the SERM Department at Netpeak Ukraine, shared his experience in using ORM tools (Online Reputation Management) to manage companies’ online image.

The ORM ecosystem combines various tools and methods working together to achieve the best results.

  • PR (Public Relations): Strategic management of communications, company image, and positioning. This includes creating and maintaining a positive information field, which builds trust in the brand and attracts new partners and investors.
  • SERM (Search Engine Reputation Management): Technical reputation management in search engines. It allows companies to control and improve how they appear in search results, which directly impacts how potential clients and investors perceive their brand.

The combination of PR and SERM (Search Engine Reputation Management) allows companies to quickly respond to negative situations and control their online positioning, which contributes to long-term success and stable growth.

Developing Leadership Skills, Resilience, and Optimizing Recruitment Processes

Leaders in the new realities must adapt to instability and find ways to maintain their teams’ productivity. Kharkiv IT Cluster, together with APT, presented educational programs for IT managers aimed at developing leadership skills. Special attention is given to how to effectively manage teams in constant change and instability.

Supporting Teams to Stay Strong

During the war, everyone feels stress and instability, but HR specialists often act as the «anchor» that provides moral support to teams. That’s why the Kharkiv IT Cluster, in partnership with the charity foundation «Duza Ukraina», held an offline training in Kharkiv to develop psychological support and resilience skills. This training on psychological first aid during the war was led by resilience development trainer Olga Sanina, who shared methods and tools to help HR professionals connect with their teams and ensure psychological stability in difficult times.

Live communication, which is so lacking today, provides an opportunity to feel supported, share experiences, and find new solutions for teams. We thank Promodo Hub for providing a comfortable space for this event.

Helping Recruiters Save Time on Candidate Search

Recruiters spend too much time on administrative tasks, such as job approval, candidate communication, and manual database management. This consumes time and resources that could be focused on strategic tasks. Roman Dronov, Head of Sales at HURMA, shared tools that can assist recruiters.

For example, instead of multiple email exchanges, there is a single system for all hiring stages.

Previously, recruiters spent hours approving vacancies, communicating with candidates, and manually managing databases. The use of ATS systems allows:

  • Creating job requests in one click and instantly posting them on job portals.
  • Automatically gathering all candidate feedback into a single system without duplication.
  • Managing the candidate database by recording the communication history and the status of each applicant.

Thanks to these approaches, companies significantly reduce administration time, and HR teams can focus on strategic tasks — building strong teams and managing talents effectively.
