GlobalLogic donated UAH 6 million for prosthetics for the Ukrainian military
GlobalLogic IT specialists initiated and supported a UAH 6 million donation for prosthetics for Ukrainian soldiers. The aid was donated to Superhumans, a center for prosthetics, reconstructive surgery, and rehabilitation of war victims.
According to the Ministry of Health, more than 20,000 people in Ukraine need prosthetics. The Superhumans Centre fits prosthetics and restores lost capabilities to an average of 50 people a month. Next year, the Centre plans to provide rehabilitation services to 3,000 people.
“For the New Year, we decided to allocate funds to support Ukraine’s defenders. This proposal was supported by the majority of our colleagues. We are honored to personally thank those who defend all of us at the cost of their health and give their most valuable assets in the fight against the aggressor.” says Anna Shcherbakova, Vice President and Head of Operations, GlobalLogic Ukraine.
“Superhumans provides services to people who are capable of incredible things, people who help us to work, create new technologies and improve the quality of life of Ukrainians. And we are supported by the best companies. GlobalLogic is a prime example of such a partnership. We are happy to announce it on the eve of the New Year! Thanks to this cooperation, we will be able to restore freedom and independence to a dozen more people. After all, every prosthesis fitted means freedom and independence,” comments Olga Rudneva, CEO of Superhumans Centre.
GlobalLogic’s Ukrainian engineers have already contributed to prosthetics for defenders and developed software for bionic prostheses in 2023. The solution was developed using artificial intelligence. This project won the international Hitachi Inspiration of the Year Award in London.
In addition to its own contribution, GlobalLogic offers to join the Superhumans fundraising for prosthetics for people affected by the war. You can support Superheroes on the website.
