ITBridge: analyzing the touchpoints between the Ukrainian IT sector and the EU market

IT Cluster IT Cluster

Entering the European market is an aspiration shared by many Ukrainian IT companies. Yet, successful export begins not with ambition — but with a clear answer to the question: what exactly can we offer the market better than others?

As part of the international ITBridge project, Kharkiv IT Cluster conducted a focus group with experts from the Ukrainian IT sector. The goal was to identify which technologies and industries hold the greatest potential on the EU market today.

✔️ Selected key technologies where Ukrainian IT business has strong positions
✔️ Assessed competitive advantages
✔️ Identified priority industries

Now we have clear answers to essential questions: where Ukrainian IT is already strong, which technologies require further development, and what potential EU partners truly value.

We express our gratitude to the experts who took part in the discussion:
AltexSoft, AutoDoc, Bini Games, CodeTiburon, Comparus, DataArt, Diia City Union, Dnipro IT Community, Odesa IT Family, Gameloft, Genova Web Art, IT Ukraine Association, Lemberg Tech Business School, onPoint Studio, ProGamma Agency, Quantum, RaccoonGang, Sigma Software, SiteCore, Upgrade Parade.

Why does it matter for business?

This initiative is part of a large-scale research effort that will form the foundation of a competitive advantage matrix for Ukrainian IT companies — a practical tool for business growth and partnership development within the EU.

Kharkiv IT Cluster members will receive a detailed visualization of their strengths, enabling them to craft sharper and more targeted business proposals for international clients.
