Head of International Business Development

Kharkiv IT Cluster is an international technology community operating at the regional, national, and international levels, bringing together business, education, and professional communities around the development of the technology business ecosystem. We build international partnerships, work with European programs, and integrate Ukrainian technology businesses into global markets. We are currently scaling our international direction and looking for a leader who will build a systematic development of international partnerships and open new opportunities for community members.

Role on the team

This is a strategic role responsible for developing the international direction of Kharkiv IT Cluster. You will work at the intersection of business, partnerships, and international programs, creating new opportunities for Ukrainian technology companies.

Our candidate is someone who:

• Has 3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or international projects
• Has experience working with international partners or programs
• Knows how to build long-term partnerships
• Thinks strategically and sees opportunities
• Has strong communication and negotiation skills
• Speaks English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher (B2+)
• Is proactive and results-oriented

What you will be doing:

• Forming and implementing an international development strategy
• Developing partnerships with European and international organizations
• Identifying opportunities to participate in international programs and initiatives (EU, donor programs, clusters)
• Launching and managing international projects and collaborations
• Expanding a network of contacts (companies, clusters, associations, institutions)
• Supporting community members in entering international markets
• Coordinating participation in international events, missions, and forums
• Building a pipeline of opportunities and partnerships

Would be a plus:

• Experience with European programs (EU, Horizon, Digital Europe, EDIH, etc.)
• Experience in clusters, associations, or ecosystems
• Experience developing international markets
