Kharkiv IT business met with the associate director of KPMG in Malta
IT ClusterThe owners of IT companies, financial directors and other representatives of Kharkiv IT industry met with the associate director of KPMG in Malta, Oleg Chaika.
A business seminar organized by Kharkiv IT Cluster was held on March 25, 2019 at the Kharkiv Premier Palace Hotel. The meeting included a presentation followed opened discussion and Q&A session.
Participants learned about the history of development and the current economic situation in Malta – nowadays the country is among the fastest growing countries of the European Union in terms of GDP per capita.
In particular, the following aspects of expanding business to Malta were touched upon: the myths and reality of the tax system of the country, the advantages of this system compared to other countries, the benefits for companies in the IT sector. Some successful examples of work in the Maltese economic space and the possibility of cooperation with the KPMG office in Malta were represented.
After the presentation and Q&A session, representatives of the Kharkiv business were able to exchange views and discuss narrower issues with Oleg Chaika in an informal setting. The meeting was useful for those who are planning to expand their business and are considering a perspective European country for this.
