SoftServe has launched a platform for social and volunteer initiatives
IT ClusterThe company has announced the launch of the charity crowdsourcing platform Open Tech. The program is initiated by SoftServe associates and unites the company’s IT specialists willing to contribute their time and skills to respond to society’s most pressing needs.
Developers, business analysts, project managers, designers, testers – regardless of position and level in the company on a volunteer basis participate in the development of solutions that strengthen important projects and initiatives of public organizations, government institutions, educational centres.
“We in the company care not only about our associates, but also about the communities we work and live in. Over the years, we have been donating our time and knowledge to create better solutions not only for our clients, but also for non-profit, social, local and national institutions. Within the Open Tech platform, we will be able to involve more of our associates in the development of solutions for social challenges, ”said Taras Vervega, co-founder and member of the SoftServe Board of Directors and head of the SoftServe Charity Fund “Open Eyes”.
All the company volunteer projects are in line with SoftServe’s global corporate social responsibility focuses, as well as the following areas: Supporting healthcare Empowering communities Helping people in need Equality and diversity Environmental responsibility Innovations and smart city initiatives Enhancing education.
As for now, Open Tech platform unites more than 100 SoftServe volunteers, 20 projects, which: response to the Covid-19 pandemic, alternative education, traveling around the country, the Holodomor, the rebuilding of a fortress in Tustan, and volunteering in Ukraine.
Among the partners and initiators of the projects: Ministry of Health of Ukraine, UNICEF Ukraine, Rakuten Viber, Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, Ukraїner, Plast, Ukraine without waste and others.
