Registration for the third summer school on Quantum Machine Learning by UCU and Haiqu is open

We are sharing opportunities for students and young professionals in the field of physical, mathematical, and computer sciences – registration for the Third Summer School on Quantum Machine Learning (QML Summer School), organised by the Faculty of Applied Sciences of UCU and the quantum startup Haiqu, has started.

About the school

QML Summer School is designed for 3rd and 4th year students and graduates of technical specialities who want to dive into the promising field of quantum computing and machine learning. The programme includes both theoretical training and practical workshops on developing algorithms based on Qiskit and Pennylane.

❗ No prior knowledge of quantum mechanics is required — the course is ideal for beginners with a strong background in linear algebra probability theory and statistics machine learning

  • Python programming
  • The language of instruction is English.

Lecturers and mentors

The lecturers include researchers and engineers from Ukraine, the US, and Europe. In particular, Mykola Maksymenko, CTO and co-founder of Haiqu, Director of the Master’s Programme in Technology Management at UCU Business School.

Scholarships and registration

Participation in the school requires a registration fee:

  • 10 000 UAH — early bird (until 25 June)
  • 20 000 UAH — regular (until 17 July)

However, the 15 best candidates will be able to receive scholarships that fully cover the cost of education and accommodation:

  • 10 scholarships from Haiqu and SoftServe – for the most motivated participants and veterans<a84
  • 5 scholarships from Infinity Technologies – for students from the frontline regions

To participate in the scholarship competition, you must indicate this in the registration form and provide a recommendation from your academic advisor.

Certificate

Upon completion of the training, participants will receive a 3-credit certificate from the Ukrainian Catholic University.
