NextGen Innovators: schoolchildren from frontline communities in Kharkiv region are invited to bring their ideas for socially important projects to life
Kharkiv IT Cluster and the CodeIT4Life Charitable Foundation invite teenagers living in the frontline communities of the Kharkiv region to join the new project NextGen Innovators and make a meaningful contribution to the development of their local community!
🧑💻 NextGen Innovators is an acceleration program for young innovators who aspire to make the world around them better. We suggest starting with your community! If you have an idea for a socially significant project for your community, don’t hesitate to apply for a chance to receive funding for its implementation.
Who can participate in the program?
Teenagers aged 12 to 17 who:
- live on the territory of Dergachiv and Savyn communities;
- have the status of internally displaced persons from Kuryliv and Dvorichanska communities and live in Kharkiv.
👋 The main condition is having the desire and an idea that can positively impact your community.
What’s in store for participants?
Participants in the NextGen Innovators program will have an excellent opportunity to:
👉 improve their leadership and communication skills;
👉 present their ideas to experts;
👉 receive valuable gifts and the opportunity to bring the project to life!
Project Stages
The selection of winners will take place in 3 stages:
- Stage 1: Project Idea Development and Description
To join the project, you need to fill out an application form, providing personal details and a description of your socially significant project for the community based on the following structure:
- Project title and topic.
- Problem definition and solution: clearly outline the problem your project addresses. Describe how it will be solved, justifying its feasibility and significance.
- Target audience: specify the group of people your project is aimed at and indicate the project’s implementation location.
- Project goal: formulate the main objective of your project (what global outcome you aim to achieve).
- Planned actions and activities: describe the steps you will take and how they will ensure the project’s success.
- Expected results: detail the specific outcomes you anticipate after the project’s implementation.
- Additional materials (if available).
We recommend drafting your idea description in a separate document beforehand to ensure no details are missed! 😉
- Stage 2: Online Presentation of Refined Projects
At this stage, minor adjustments will be required to the initial structure, such as defining tasks aligned with the project’s goals and differentiating qualitative and quantitative, short-term and long-term expected outcomes.
Additionally, participants must develop a budget and key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify potential project risks.
The presentations will take place on the Zoom platform. The second stage results will be announced within 24 hours after the presentations.
- Stage 3: Project Finals in Kharkiv
The program’s finals will be held in person in Kharkiv. Ten participants with the most promising ideas will present their projects live to the jury.
Project winners will receive valuable prizes, and the grand prize winner will receive funding for their project implementation!
