Kharkiv IT Cluster participated in a round table meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France in Ukraine, Mrs. Isabelle Dumont, that took place at a partner university - Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics. The issues of partnership of Ukraine and France, globalization of education as well as possibilities of Ukrainian and French youth were discussed at the meeting. Eduard Rubin, temporarily assuming the responsibilities of Rector of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, CEO of Telesens, co-founder of Kharkiv IT Cluster addressed the round table meeting and stressed that the University is already actively working on the introduction of double degree programs with French universities.
Mrs. Dumont said that France annually allocates 100 scholarships for Ukrainian students, and the number of joint programs between French and Ukrainian educational institutions will only grow. She also told the participants on the French system of education and the importance of student training at a plant, which is an integral part of educational process. Isabelle Dumont gave special consideration to IT-industry. French government makes significant investments in this area and encourages the development of startup projects.
In addition, Honorary Consul of France in Kharkiv City, Serhii Polituchyi was introduced at the meeting. The opening of the Honorary Consulate, having become the reason of Ms. Isabelle’s coming to Kharkiv City, will be the basis of successful cooperation between France and Kharkiv City. We are confident that this event is a new important stage in the development of relations between the two countries. Kharkiv IT Cluster, in its turn, will strife for the establishment of lasting contacts between Kharkiv and French companies.
