Ukrainian engineers GlobalLogic and the American company Harmonic are creating streaming video and broadband access technologies. November 12 marks 10 years of cooperation, but instead of celebrating, the GlobalLogic IT company team transfers funds to the "Come Back Alive" fund. Harmonic creates products for video, broadband, and media companies that reduce energy consumption by up to 70%. Since 2012, the Ukrainian office of GlobalLogic has been helping to develop these technologies. During this time, the Ukrainian project team grew more than tenfold, and even after the start of a full-scale invasion, neither cooperation nor the search for new talent stopped. Today, this is one of the largest projects of the IT company GlobalLogic in terms of team size: more than 300 specialists are involved in it. On the 10th anniversary of cooperation, the engineers share that they especially appreciate the project for the opportunity to work with modern technologies, learn, exchange experience with international teams and promote their own ideas.

“The project team turns ideas into revolutionary products that are used by millions of people," – says Artem Churin, Director of Engineering at GlobalLogic. – We are glad for such a long-term and fruitful cooperation. We are postponing the anniversary celebration, but at the same time, we have decided to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine on this occasion. After all, thanks to the armed forces, the work of our Ukrainian team remains possible, and engineers can continue to influence the future of streaming technologies."

Instead of celebrating the 10th anniversary of the collaboration, GlobalLogic will donate to the Come Back Alive fund. The money will go towards equipment that helps save lives in the military, including thermal imaging optics, quadcopters, vehicles, defense, and intelligence systems. The company has supported the fund before: in February, it transferred 1 million hryvnias for its needs, and at the last charity evening in Lviv, engineers collected almost half a million hryvnias for the fund.
