Diversity and Non-Discrimination Policy: Join the New Change

Nowadays, tolerance, non-discrimination, and respect for human rights are quite acute and socially important topics. Kharkiv IT Cluster is glad that these topics are being raised in Ukrainian society and business, which will certainly lead to positive changes. Recently, the Cluster took part in a press conference on the launch of the Corporate Equality Index in Ukraine. It is essential for us that as many companies of the Kharkiv region as possible not only join the survey but also adhere to human rights and non-discrimination principles in the team’s policy.

The Corporate Equality Index 2020

We are also happy to announce that the new Corporate Equality Index 2020 started in Ukraine! This is a national research on the corporate politics, rules and policies of the public and private companies aimed to support equality & diversity as well as prohibit discrimination in the workplace. For the first time in its history, the Corporate Equality Index pays special attention to the role of small and medium enterprises, including the role of individuals, in ensuring human rights and supporting the values ​​of equality, non-discrimination, diversity and inclusiveness. Ukrainian companies and entrepreneurs are invited to take part in the study at the following link. Also this year, for the first time within the framework of the Corporate Equality Index, we kindly invite employees of Ukrainian companies to complete the survey on the values ​ declared and practiced in their companies.

The Ukrainian Corporate Equality Index

The Ukrainian Corporate Equality Index has existed since 2013. It includes a study of methods and tools allowing companies to prevent and combat discrimination in the workplace based on sex, age, disability, IDP status, sexual orientation, gender identity and other characteristics, as well as activities that companies develop and implement to support human diversity and promote ideas of equality.
