On the 1st of December Kharkiv IT Cluster held a large-scale event — В2В IT Forum Latvia&Ukraine.
For the first time Kharkiv IT Cluster held this unique event for Ukrainian IT business. On one platform, the event united representatives of IT businesses from two countries. The results of this event would contribute to attracting investments to Ukraine and establishing international relationships with the IT industry in Latvia.
The IT Forum Latvia&Ukraine was held by Kharkiv IT Cluster, the Embassy of Latvia, and the Latvian Agency of regional development. Together, organizers arranged a collaboration platform for Ukrainian and Latvian IT businesses. The representative of the Latvian business opened the Forum and talked about the possibilities of the Latvian business for Ukrainian IT companies. The moderator of the Forum was Filips Talbergs, Head of Export Promotion Division at the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia. The speaker of the Forum, Tarass Leocko, Senior Investment Advisor at Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, mentioned that the Latvian IT business is represented by advantageous companies ready for changes and growth, and it is also an advanced Startup Community.
Olga Shapoval, CEO of Kharkiv IT Cluster, told about the possibilities of Ukrainian IT business, and about the Cluster’s work. “Ukrainian IT companies' experience in the development of IT solutions covers almost all the business domains. That is why Ukraine in general and Kharkiv itself are the best places for searching business partners for creating competitive advantages for international clients”, — noted Olga. After the opening of the Forum, Ukrainian and Latvian companies began their pre-arranged B2B meetings, the ones that were arranged by Kharkiv IT Cluster and the Latvian Agency of regional development. Companies held 50 B2B meetings, and the representatives of both countries presented their teams and discussed the possibilities of further cooperation.

How the Forum went
Initially, Kharkiv IT Cluster was planning to hold the forum online in fall but considering all the quarantine restrictions we had to change the date and the form of holding the event. At the Forum, the Cluster’s participating members met with the representatives of the Latvian business interested in cooperation with Kharkiv IT companies.The IT Forum Latvia&Ukraine was held by Kharkiv IT Cluster, the Embassy of Latvia, and the Latvian Agency of regional development.
