To ensure a decent future: IT company GlobalLogic supported the "Children of Heroes" fund

On October 14, Ukraine celebrated Defenders Day. Heroes who will not return from war can be honored by providing a decent future for their children. Therefore, GlobalLogic joins in supporting the "Children of Heroes" foundation, which takes care of children who have lost one or both parents as a result of the war. More than 850 children receive the foundation's support, and the number of wards is replenished daily with five to ten tragic stories. Five-year-old David and his pregnant mother evacuated from Mariupol, and his father died defending Ukraine as part of the Armed Forces. Now the boy with his mother and newborn sister needs support to establish their life in new realities. Yana from Kharkiv lost her entire family when a Russian missile hit them, so she needs psychological rehabilitation and all the things necessary for life and study that she lost. According to the foundation, there are more than 5,000 children with similar stories in Ukraine. GlobalLogic supported the initiatives of the "Children of Heroes" fund and joined in helping young Ukrainians who lost their parents due to the war. The IT company transferred 360,000 hryvnias in financial aid for the operational needs of the children: urgent humanitarian and psychological help, shelter, treatment, etc., and also handed over 20 laptops so they could continue their studies online.

“With all our hearts, we empathize with every child who lost their loved ones due to war, — says Anna Shcherbakova, the operations director of GlobalLogic Ukraine, — and we will do everything in our power to care for and support the children whose parents gave their lives in the fight for the future of our country”.

Now the foundation is collecting funds to prepare children for the cold season. The total cost of this project is more than 18 million hryvnias.
