On February 16, SoftServe's "Open Eyes" corporate charity foundation donated new medical equipment to three hospitals in Dnipro and Izium, namely:

• Municipal non-profit enterprise "City Children's Clinical Hospital No. 6" of the Dnipro City Council
• Mechnikov Dnipro Regional Clinical Hospital
• Municipal non-profit enterprise "Center for Primary Health Care of the City of Izium" of the Izium City Council

In Dnipro, the medical equipment will be used in children's departments. The Dnipro Regional Clinical Hospital will now have an encephalograph, which is needed to treat newborns with nervous system pathologies and for diagnostics and health monitoring. The City Children's Clinical Hospital No. 6 will have an electrocoagulator for surgeries such as tumor removal. The Izium Primary Health Care Center received analyzers for the outpatient department, oxygen concentrators for the intensive care unit, and an electric knife for the surgical department. Izium hospital is recovering from the Russian occupation, the main building of the medical facility was completely destroyed, and the medical equipment was stolen. The purchase of new equipment for the hospital in Izyum, one of the most damaged cities in Ukraine, is an essential task as it treats survivors of the occupation, residents of other frontline settlements, and the military. "It is harrowing to see the news about destroyed cities and infrastructure. It is painful to realize how many human lives and shattered fates are behind these buildings. Procuring medicines and equipment is becoming a new challenge for our country and our foundation in particular. We hear the stories of doctors from Izyum who did not leave the city during the occupation, continue to treat people in extremely difficult conditions, and are relentlessly fighting for every person's life. We understand and hear the needs of Dnipro, whose hospitals are overcrowded after the tragedy of January 14 and regular shelling. So, we constantly communicate with the military medics at the 'zero position' every day. We hope that the equipment will help save many lives, help doctors, and provide additional opportunities for diagnosis and treatment," comments Victoria Mishchuk, Director of the Open Eyes charity fund at SoftServe. New medical equipment for hospitals in Dnipro and Izium was purchased for UAH 800 thousand. This amount was raised for the needs of the hospitals during the Stand with Ukraine charity auction organized by SoftServe in London in November 2022. Since 2014, the Open Eyes Foundation has been implementing projects in the medical field, purchasing equipment, creating educational and rehabilitation spaces for children called "Positive Rooms," and providing ventilators and personal protective equipment to hospitals in Ukraine during the pandemic. Since February 24, 2022, the foundation has transferred more than 30,000 boxes of medicines to hot spots and actively cooperates with more than 100 medical institutions in Ukraine, hospitals, medical units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and military hospitals. As part of its Drive for Life project, the foundation has already purchased 42 ambulances fully equipped with medical equipment and 52 vehicles for evacuating the wounded.
