On the 24th of March Investment Startup.Network platform in partnership with Kharkiv IT Cluster held a Battle of the Universities which took place in Kharkiv City at the premises of National Aerospace University named after N.E. Zhukovsky "Kharkiv Aviation Institute". It is one-of-a-kind event of business format, aimed at supporting student entrepreneurship. Each participant receives not only experience in making speech to a potential investor, protecting the honor of his alma mater, but also listens to advice from experts who have already achieved success in their field.
The first participants of a large-scale "Battle of the Universities" in Kharkiv City became the students of National Aerospace University named after N.E. Zhukovsky "Kharkiv Aviation Institute", National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" and Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics.
Leaders and experts from companies-participants of Kharkiv IT Cluster were jury members of the Battle of the Universities, namely AltexSoft, Artjoker, ART LEMON, INSART, NIX Solutions, SoftServe, Videal, X1 Group. Roman Katerinchik, CEO of Artjoker, performed before the students, shared his memories that it was the classroom where he passed entrance examination to KhAI, and was glad that project authors were looking for new ways of development, and did not follow such standard as "University - Work in Outsourcing Companies".
Startup teams presented 15 great ideas: yo-yo charge; VR-simulator for driver training; shopping helper; service for appointments; navigation system for unmanned aircraft; employee tracker; services for the creation of interactive video and interactive presentations, program to improve employees’ KPI; system of tenant notification; artificial intelligence for teaching adolescents; device for analyzing the state of health, etc.
The leader of the completion became a project for the creation of interactive presentations, which manifested itself during the competition - it helped to count votes of the audience. People's Choice Award received a service for the creation of interactive video.
