November 12, a new educational program “Crypto-business: from HYIP to regulation” starts. The program is conducted by the Institute of Law, Technology and Innovation (ILTI) together with the Brightman Fintech Law Firm and the Kharkov IT-cluster. What will you get? ✅ At the program, students will “go through” all stages of the functioning of a crypto-business, starting from its registration, choice of jurisdiction, opening bank accounts and ending with the withdrawal of funds collected at the ICO, building the right relationship between shareholders and venture investors, managing IP-portfolio and paying taxes . ✅ The program also raises the important issue of obtaining a license to raise funds and sell tokens within the framework of ICO in European jurisdictions, as well as the process of registering a project with the US Securities and Exchange Commission in the event that American investors are attracted. Lawyers are available and simply talk about the legal exceptions to such registration, as well as the release of "alternative" tokens to minimize the cost of the project. “Under the scope” of the program will also fall into the issue of compliance with the legislation on combating money laundering, “Know Your Customer” and the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) as part of launching an ICO project, startup or cryptocurrency platform.
