Kharkiv IT Research

In April 2018 Kharkiv reached the milestone of 25000 IT industry specialists. Thus, the city appears to become the second largest IT hubs in Ukraine after Kyiv, leaving behind Lviv, Dnipro, and Odesa. In 2018 the Kharkiv IT Cluster launched and conducted a business-research among IT companies together with the sociological survey in the field, in order to understand and evaluate the current state of the Kharkiv IT market from several points of view: volume, employment, and development perspectives, as well as to find its strength and special features. The project aims to digitalize the market for a better understanding of IT ecosystem development directions.    The research was conducted together with 2 partners: PricewaterhouseCoopers and IRS-group. On the 9th of October the Kharkiv IT Cluster is going to present the overall Kharkiv IT market research results at a closed-door meeting. The research encompasses:

• IT business and investments. The project was coordinated by the PricewaterhouseCoopers and included the survey results, compilation of data, and interviews with the TOP-management.
• Social. The project was coordinated by the IRS-group and aimed to define the image and lifestyle of the IT professionals in the Kharkiv region.

Every year the IT employees travel, buy real estate and consume goods. Most of them have a proactive attitude to life, raise more than 2 children, have a degree. These are only several indexes, mentioned in the research. On the 9th of October the Kharkiv IT Cluster is going to announce the full quantitative and quality results of the survey. In addition there will be a panel discussion and a Q&A session with the survey coordinators from  PWC and IRS Group for the authorities, international organizations, IT communities of other regions, and TOP managements of the leading Ukrainian IT companies.
