The Kharkiv IT Cluster Community Joins the U.S.-Ukraine Tech Partnership Initiative for the Second Time
IT ClusterThe U.S.-Ukraine Tech Partnership Initiative is a strategic program organized through the joint efforts of StrategEast and Diia.City Union, and Kharkiv IT Cluster, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
Its goal is to strengthen partnership ties between the U.S. and Ukraine, unlock new business opportunities, and attract investments to the U.S. market.
As part of the U.S.-Ukraine Tech Partnership Initiative, a Ukrainian delegation visited Washington, D.C., on March 17-18. The delegation included representatives from Kharkiv IT Cluster companies, such as WiserBrand, EPAM, and Sigma Software.
A Look Back at Kharkiv IT Cluster’s Achievements at the U.S.-Ukraine Tech Partnership Initiative
The first visit under the U.S.-Ukraine Tech Partnership Initiative took place in early February 2025, in partnership with Kharkiv IT Cluster and Diia.City Union. During this visit, 15 innovative companies showcased the potential of Ukraine’s tech sector, holding strategic meetings with key U.S. partners, including the Congressional Ukraine Caucus, the World Bank, and the U.S. Department of State.
Additionally, the program featured two roundtable discussions:
- The first one, co-organized with the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), focused on U.S.-Ukraine cooperation in the field of dual-use technologies.
- The second roundtable, in collaboration with the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue, explored Ukraine’s positioning as a trusted technology supplier.
Achievements of the Ukrainian Delegation in Washington
This time, delegation members participated in a business meeting with U.S. corporate leaders in partnership with the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU). They also held negotiations with representatives of the U.S. Congress and Senate, discussing Ukraine’s tech capabilities, bilateral cooperation, and the integration of Ukrainian innovations into global markets.
The Ukrainian delegation had the opportunity to establish business connections with American companies and investors through business networking events.
As part of the strategic program, discussions on technology policy were also held with the Congressional Communications & Technology Subcommittees. A key focus was demonstrating Ukraine’s digital resilience on the global stage.
The international community highly appreciates Ukrainian innovations, making it essential to continue expanding cooperation with global partners to drive Ukraine’s recovery and development through technology.
