Why are education and career guidance a strategic choice?
One of the company’s missions is to contribute to the development of the society in which we live and work. That’s why investing in children’s education has become a key part of SevenPro’s strategy.
Since day one, SevenPro has taken a proactive stance on learning and development. And since 2022, the company has launched a number of initiatives to support young people who remained in Kharkiv and the region, being physically present in the city itself.
«We want to see Kharkiv rebuild and Ukraine thrive. Our mission is to help young people realize that IT is not just a trend — it’s a real opportunity to build a career under any circumstances. Even during martial law, children can learn and plan for the future. We hope that thanks to these initiatives, students will enter Kharkiv universities, become IT professionals, and work for the benefit of the city and the country,» — said Dmytro Yakovlev, CEO of SevenPro.
How did it begin?
In the summer of 2022, the SevenPro team began holding career guidance sessions for children. It all started with visits to «safe rooms» organized in cooperation with Kharkiv IT Cluster and CodeIT4Life.
«We encountered many children from rural areas who had no idea what IT was. It seemed like a distant, almost unreachable world to them. We often heard: ‘That’s not for me.’ But after our conversations, their perspective changed — they started asking questions and showing genuine interest,» — shared Yuliia Rak, HR at SevenPro and an active participant in the educational programs.
Expanding initiatives and launching new projects
The children’s growing interest became the motivation to hold sessions more frequently. SevenPro began collaborating with charitable foundations such as Blagomay and JuniorS, who reached out with requests to introduce IT to children in other Kharkiv communities.
The SevenPro team visited towns and villages across the region: Kharkiv, Derhachi, Savyntsi, Kolomak, Bohodukhiv, and Novopokrovka.
«Our goal is not just to spark interest, but to help children take their first steps. We want them to see IT as a real path to a better future, no matter where they are right now,» — emphasized Dmytro.
The most recent session took place in early March 2025 at Kharkiv Scientific Lyceum «Obdarovanist». A group of girls explored the world of IT by learning about company structures and began envisioning their professional paths.
There is still a long road ahead, but every session, every curious look, and every new talent revealed through these initiatives reinforces one belief: SevenPro is moving in the right direction.
