🏆 The University Cup (UCUP-2025) is a large-scale programming competition among university and college students, as well as high school students from Kharkiv and across Ukraine. This is an opportunity to showcase your skills and compete for the top spot.

The competition is organized by Kharkiv IT Cluster, the Q-BIT Youth Scientific Society, the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University, Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics, and the National Aerospace University named after M.E. Zhukovsky “Kharkiv Aviation Institute”.

Who can participate?

• University and college students from Kharkiv and Ukraine.
• High school students (grades 9-11) interested in IT.

Purpose of the competition

• To unite IT talent from all corners of Ukraine.
• To engage students and youth.
• To prepare participants for future careers in IT.

What awaits the participants?

🔸 Algorithmic Competence Check
Participants will solve problems that demonstrate real skills and will receive an IT SKILLS STANDARD certificate.

🔸 Lectures and Workshops
Engaging lectures, workshops, and case studies from leading IT professionals, scientists, businesspeople, and representatives of international companies.

🔸 Olympiad
A competition to test knowledge of algorithms and logical thinking in an online format (with proctoring).

📅 February 22 – March 29 — competition period

• February 22 — project opening ceremony.
• Throughout the project:
  Meetings with Ukrainian and international companies.
  IT Skills Standard certification.

  Career guidance events for applicants.
• April 2025 — official closing of the project and awards ceremony.

The main competition of the University Cup (March 29, 2025)

The Programming Olympiad is a key part of the University Cup, aimed at developing algorithmic thinking, solving complex problems, and working with large datasets. This intellectual competition allows students to test their knowledge, improve their skills, and gain practical experience in solving algorithmic tasks.

📌 Format

Participants solve several problems within a set time using the automated testing system DOTS (Distributed Online Test System). Supported programming languages: Python, C, C++, C#, Java, Pascal, Rust, and more.

📌 Evaluation

Each task is scored up to 100 points. Partial points can be awarded for incomplete solutions. The total result depends on the sum of points from all completed tasks.

📌 Rules

• Participants must adhere to academic integrity principles.
• The use of external resources or electronic devices (except those necessary for the tasks) is prohibited.
• Communication with others during the Olympiad is not allowed.
• Online participants must meet proctoring requirements, including enabling screen and webcam recording.
