ProfClub: a community of IT educators that grows together
IT ClusterProfClub is a unique professional community for educators, created to facilitate experience exchange, discuss current challenges, and seek innovative solutions in education. This semester, ProfClub hosted two inspiring meetings that served as platforms for educators’ professional growth.
First Meeting: Tackling Educational Challenges
During the first meeting on November 13, participants focused on key challenges in modern education and engaged in active brainstorming. The main topics of discussion included:
- Engaging Employers in the Educational Process (Business-Education Collaboration)
Speaker: Olena Prokhorenko, Head of the Management Department, National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” - European Experience in Educators’ Professional Development in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
Speaker: Tetiana Tereshchenko, Associate Professor at the Department of Information Technologies, Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University. - A New Format for Reviewing Educational Programs by Kharkiv IT Cluster
Speaker: Mariia Rudynska, Project Manager of the Educational Direction at Kharkiv IT Cluster.
In an open discussion, educators identified risks associated with each challenge and developed strategies to address them.

Second Meeting: IT Beginner’s Roadmap
On December 11, ProfClub held its second meeting, which provided practical guidance on integrating IT education into teaching processes.
Speaker: Ivan Mikheiev, Talent Development Manager at EPAM Ukraine, shared his insights on current educational trends and talent development in IT.
The meeting highlighted several opportunities for educators:
- Access to free courses on the EPAM Campus platform, enabling participants to expand their professional toolkit.
- New approaches to preparing students with the help of IT tools.
