Prof2IT: Telegram Bots and Design Systems: What Skills Can Higher Education Teachers Gain Through Prof2IT?
In the conditions of rapid technological changes, the role of education becomes especially important. If earlier the main goal of educational institutions was to impart theoretical knowledge to students, today the education system should provide students with practical skills that meet the requirements of the modern labour market.
Teachers, in turn, must be ready for this challenge. One of the important directions of improving the quality of education is improving the qualifications of teachers. This is where the Prof2IT project, initiated by the Kharkiv IT Cluster, which actively works to train teachers in modern IT tools and teaching approaches, comes to the rescue.
Why is it necessary to improve the qualifications of teachers?
- Speed of technological change
Modern technologies are developing rapidly. For students to have competitive skills, teachers must constantly improve their knowledge to deliver it in the most up-to-date form.
- Practical component
To prepare specialists who can successfully work in the modern labour market, it is important to integrate practical tools into the educational process. This helps students gain real experience with technology while still in their studies.
- Student motivation
When courses are built around practical tasks, using modern tools and real-world cases, it significantly increases students’ interest in learning and promotes more effective knowledge retention.
Prof2IT courses: how does it work?
The Prof2IT project is an educational initiative aimed at improving the qualifications of teachers in higher education institutions of Ukraine. Programs are created together with experts from leading IT companies, so they are based on real cases and advanced approaches in the industry. Two courses were held in the fall semester.
