On 4-5 February, a Ukrainian delegation visited Washington, DC, as part of the U.S.-Ukraine Tech Partnership Initiative.

15 innovative companies presented the potential of the Ukrainian technology sector.

The event was made possible by StrategEast, Diia.City Union and Kharkiv IT Cluster with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian delegation included representatives of Kharkiv IT Cluster companies Sigma Software, NIX, AltexSoft, Telesens, Viseven, MobiDev, Solid Software, as well as TAURUS QUADRA, Futurology / DroneUA, S-PRO, Alcor, DROPLA.TECH, datrics, WebinOne, Bravery Invest.

Meeting with representatives of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus

The delegation had the opportunity to present Ukrainian technological potential to representatives of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus, including Jacob Jernigan, military aide to Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, and Rachel Citron, foreign policy expert to Congressman Steve Cohen. The prospects for investment in Ukraine’s reconstruction and opportunities for cooperation between the United States and Ukrainian businesses were discussed.

Visit to the US Department of State

Representatives of Ukrainian IT took part in a meeting with representatives of the US Department of State to discuss the role of the Ukrainian IT industry in supporting the national economy and opportunities for partnership with US companies. Special attention was paid to the importance of digital solutions for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

Meeting with representatives of CEPA (Centre for European Policy Analysis)

An important part of the programme was a meeting with CEPA to discuss ways to develop cooperation in dual-use technologies that can be used in both civilian and military spheres. Such technologies are important for Ukraine’s national security.

Visit to the World Bank

Ukrainian IT companies presented their innovative solutions to the World Bank. The parties discussed the possibilities of integrating Ukrainian IT companies into digital transformation programmes, as well as obtaining funding for technological initiatives aimed at rebuilding Ukraine’s infrastructure.

Business meetings with American companies

The visit included meetings with representatives of leading American companies from various sectors of the economy. These meetings gave rise to new Ukrainian-American projects and partnerships that have great potential for development in both Ukraine and the United States.

Roundtable discussion at the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy

The roundtable, organised by the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy, discussed technology diplomacy and the role of reliable technologies in ensuring international security. Ukrainian IT companies have been recognised as promising partners in technological cooperation between countries.
