
Kharkiv IT Cluster at Karazin Career Week 2025: A Path to an IT Career for Youth
From March 24 to April 4, 2025, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University hosted its annual event — Karazin Career Week. The initiative offered students the opportunity to meet with representatives of government and business, learn about current labor market trends, and receive practical career advice.
Kharkiv IT Cluster has been a consistent partner of this initiative, and this year was no exception.
🔹 March 25 — Ulyana Shumey, Senior Manager of the Educational Team at Kharkiv IT Cluster, held a session for students of the Department of Information Technology and Mathematical Modelling on the topic «From Student to In-Demand IT Professional: How Kharkiv IT Cluster Accelerates the Journey.»
Future specialists explored career opportunities in IT supported by the Cluster through mentorship, internships, and collaborative partner projects.
🔹 March 26 — During a meeting with students of the Department of Philology, Ulyana Shumey highlighted the prospects of humanities disciplines in the digital sphere — from technical writing to content analytics and user experience. Over 100 participants attended the event.
The session demonstrated that IT is not only about programming; it is also about interdisciplinary collaboration, where humanities students can find their niche and thrive in new roles.
🔹 March 31 — Petro Palchyk, Enterprise Analyst at Intellias, delivered an online lecture titled «The Modern Business Analyst: Role, Tools, and Career Prospects.»
The lecture offered participants a comprehensive understanding of the business analyst profession and its potential.
Students gained insights into the role of business analysts in IT companies, key skills required, relevant tools, and development opportunities within the field.
In total, Kharkiv IT Cluster’s participation in Karazin Career Week engaged over 170 attendees and served as an effective platform for direct dialogue between students and industry representatives.
