New prospects for cooperation with the EU

On 21 January, the first meeting of the Ukrainian focus group on the development of business cooperation between Ukraine and Europe took place in 2025. The event was dedicated to the development of artificial intelligence technologies.

The meeting was aimed at demonstrating Ukraine’s technological achievements to the world and finding new opportunities for integration into the European digital market. Participants – highly qualified experts, representatives of international organisations, and industry leaders – shared insights on the prospects of using AI and ways to deepen cooperation with the European Union.

Growth of the IT sector.

Ukraine has more than 300 thousand IT specialists, of which about 100 thousand specialise in artificial intelligence and data analysis. As of 2024, the export of IT services reached $6.4 billion, which is 4.9% of the country’s GDP.

AI in different sectors

AI is actively used in such industries as agriculture, logistics, and healthcare. For example, in agriculture, AI helps to predict harvests and minimise costs.

European vector of cooperation

In recent years, the number of Ukrainian companies working with AI solutions has increased by 3.7 times. The integration of innovations into European sectors, from defence to telecommunications, opens up new markets and facilitates the creation of joint products. Such cooperation optimises the use of resources, reduces environmental impact and increases the efficiency of industrial processes.
