The European Commission has launched an online hackathon with a prize pool of more than 50k euros to overcome the challenges caused by the coronavirus.
The European Commission — in close collaboration with EU member states 🇪🇺 — will host a pan-European hackathon to connect civil society, innovators, partners and buyers across Europe to develop innovative solutions to coronavirus.
The #EUvsVirus Hackathon will take place on 🗓️24, 25 and 26 April and address imminent coronavirus challenges areas of:
🌱health and life
👨💻remote working and education
🤝social & political cohesion
The winning solutions will be invited to join a European Innovation Council Platform that will facilitate connections with end users (e.g. hospitals) and provide access to investors, foundations and other funding opportunities from across the European Commission.
This is a good opportunity to find useful job for employees (perhaps on the bench), raise international awareness and find useful contacts and partners in Europe.
