Kharkiv IT Cluster Launches New Educational Project SmartCoders for School Students!

Kharkiv IT Cluster, in collaboration with the Free Java Programming School IDFSchool, is launching a new project called SmartCoders — a free online programming course for students in grades 8–11.

The goal of the project is to give students the opportunity to acquire their first programming skills, understand basic algorithmic principles, and begin their journey in the IT field.

Over two months, participants will learn:

  • The basics of algorithms
  • general concepts of object-oriented programming
  • working with arrays and collections
  • String class methods
  • and other key programming concepts

Special focus will be placed on practical tasks and the development of individual mini-projects.

Format & Duration

  • Format: online learning every Friday, at 18:00
  • Course duration: 2 months
  • Programming language: Java
  • Course start date: April 11, 2025
  • Instructor: Serhii Ishcheryakov — an experienced Java trainer with many years of teaching practice

Throughout the course, participants will have access to video lessons, test assignments, detailed algorithm guides, code examples, and direct feedback from the instructor via Google Classroom.
