Digital innovation hubs: How can businesses transform in the world of technology?

Modern business requires fast and effective solutions in the field of digitalisation. 

That is why the Kharkiv IT Cluster and the EU4Digital Facility  ICT Innovation Team invite business representatives to a unique event “Digital Innovation Hubs in the Eastern Partnership Countries: Evolution and Capacity Building”. 

The event, organized in cooperation with the Digital Transformation Accelerator (DTA) and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), will become an important platform for sharing experiences and developing innovations.

Why is this event important?

Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) are a powerful tool to support small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) on their way to digitalization. They help to innovate, attract investment, and increase the competitiveness of enterprises. 

The event focuses on supporting DIHs that are in the early stages of development and aims to improve cooperation between the Eastern Partnership countries and the European network of Digital Innovation Hubs.

The main topics of the event include discussions on sustainable business models for DIHs, funding opportunities, and systemic actions by governments and stakeholders needed to develop such hubs.

The event is aimed at:

  • bringing together participants from Eastern partner countries and the EU.
  • demonstration of the best practices of DIH development in Europe.
  • Discussion of systemic support for the creation of innovation hubs.
  • Discussion of sustainable business models and value propositions for DIH.
  • Among the speakers will be Olga Shapoval, Executive Director of Kharkiv IT Cluster and Eastern Ukraine EDIH Implementation Coordinator.
  • Olga will share her experience in building an effective innovation ecosystem and developing a digital innovation hub in the eastern regions of Ukraine.

  • 13:15-13:50: Round table: Building sustainable business models and effective proposals for DIH.
  • 13:50-13:55: Q&A session.
  • 13:55-14:00: Closing of the event.
