Code the Future: How the IT Business Is Enhancing Digital Education in the Kharkiv Region
Despite the ongoing war, children in Kharkiv and the surrounding region continue their education. However, many schools lack the necessary educational and technical resources. The absence of a digital learning environment makes it difficult to prepare students for life in a world where technology sets the pace and direction of progress.
Oleksandr Medovoi and the company AltexSoft, with the support of Kharkiv IT Cluster, have launched a charitable initiative called «Code the Future» aimed at establishing computer labs in schools across Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region.
The project plans to create several dozen safe digital educational spaces. The first phase is already underway: 300 laptops will soon be delivered to set up 15 safe digital classrooms. By the end of 2025, another 1,000 laptops will be provided to schools, enabling the creation of 50 additional digital spaces.
Access to Education as an Investment in Regional Resilience
Equipped with laptops, these learning spaces will give students access to modern educational tools and help them develop digital literacy, explore the basics of programming, and gain skills aligned with the demands of the modern workforce.
The project is primarily aimed at supporting children living and studying in frontline areas — those who, despite all obstacles, strive to grow, learn, and build their future in Ukraine.
We believe that a strong future begins with knowledge. And knowledge must remain accessible — even during war.
