13th Kharkiv Open Championship on Sports Programming
IT ClusterThe 13th Kharkiv Open Championship on Sports Programming, organized by Youth Scientific Society “Q-BIT” took place on April 24, 2016. This is an important event for IT-community of the City: for nine years of competition existence, its winners have become members of the top corporations of the world – from Google to Facebook and Amazon.
Teams of Kharkiv schools and universities took part in the competition. This time the Championship was held in the three divisions simultaneously. The first one is designed for participants with sufficient experience in Olympiad programming – students of specialized higher education institutions and students-winners of the 4th stage of the All-Ukrainian Academic Olympics in Informatics. The second one is designed for those who have a good knowledge and experience in the application of basic algorithmic structures and data types. The third one is designed for the beginners.
The Championship is a regular and one of the most popular competitions on Programming in Ukraine. Various Kharkiv IT-companies as well as Kharkiv IT Cluster sponsored the event. From our organization the guys got delicious cakes. INSART, being a corporate member of Kharkiv IT Cluster and a traditional partner of QBit, made prizes for the participants in the corporate style. ABC company presented web-cameras and computer mice to the best ones, Data Art – chargers, Coderivium – tents, backpacks and “Isolation” Quest Project – certificates for attendance of the quest rooms. None of talented young programmers returned home unnoticed.
We hope that Nikolai Arzubov’s initiative will continue to discover talents of Kharkiv young IT specialists, and together we will be able to raise the prestige of the Olympic movement in Programming and promote IT career among the youth.
