On November 17, the opening ceremony of the general university educational and scientific laboratory “Physical Foundations, Technologies for Building and Ensuring Information Security of Wireless Systems” was held at NURE. The project was implemented by the participant of Kharkiv IT Cluster, the company «ON AIR».

Within the framework of the opening, the presentation of the project took place: the creators told about the history of the Laboratory, its goals, tasks, possibilities and potential, as well as plans for the future.

“Such a laboratory will increase the scientific potential of the university, as well as create specialized conferences of NURE on wireless technologies and information security «WISE Conf», develop start-ups based on equipment, and build high-speed Wi-Fi networks in NURE with internal” seamless “roaming, – said during the presentation one of the founders of the laboratory Alex Strelnitsky.

The honorable right to cut the symbolic ribbon and start the work of the Laboratory was given to the rector of NURE, Professor Valery Sements, and Denis Sokolov, Director of the Eastern Territorial Administration of Smart Network Group.

As Valery Semenets noted, this is the eleventh laboratory that opens on the basis of the university for the last year, but it is unique because of its equipment, and has a huge potential for transferring large data sets.

Also at the opening in real time was shown the current loading of the WiFi point in the Unlrashed mode, the load on the point connected to the cloud controller and involved in the Job Fair 2017, held at the same time at NURE.

At the end of the event, the participants discussed the operation of the equipment in conditions of high subscriber density and interference, as well as the possibility of developing and implementing additional services to support the educational process at the university.

The Laboratory’s website publishes announcements of upcoming events, news and articles concerning the direction of the Laboratory’s activities, issues of wireless technologies and information security.
