Kharkiv IT Cluster Becomes Technical Partner of the Festival “Inclusion”

IT Cluster IT Cluster

On September 12-19 the festival “Inclusion” took place at the Kharkiv Art Museum. Its main topic was ensuring accessibility of cultural objects for the disabled people. For the visually impaired visitors audio-guides were recorded, for the deaf ones several video excursions with the implementation of the sign language created.

At the official presentation of the audio-guides on September, 16 the Art Museum  visitors had an opportunity to talk to the project initiators and implementers, as well as the experts on inclusion policies.

There is a well-known painting by I.Repin ” Zaporozhian Cossacks Writing a Letter to the Sultan” among the 9 exhibit items in the audio-guide. They are available  through a free application IZI.Travel, supported both by Android and IOS platforms. Sound engineers managed to make the audiogudes realistic, having recorded and added to the tracks natural museum sounds, such as squeaking of the floor.

The project was implemented by means of crowdfunding and with the help of the Kharkiv IT Cluster and other partners.

Together with the Plarium they provided Wi-Fi routers. The Cluster member companies ABC and Maxnet also joined the initiative and provided tools for building the network architecture and infrastructure.

This is not the first and the last project by the Kharkiv IT Cluster, aimed at enhancing the city infrastructure.  We hope for a better engagement of the companies in the future.
